どうもモチヴェーションがあがりません。もう最悪ここしばらくは場所があるということだけで許してください。
ホメ関係の情報も、もうネットですら、積極的に集めることもなくなりつつあるので今現在の現状もまったく把握できていません。かろうじて某掲示板を覗いているくらい。いえいえ化学板と物理板ですが……。ここを見てくれる方々も幸いというかなんというか少ないので、だからついつい怠けるのか、むしろ話題をふっていただけたら無人島（情報飢餓状態）から脱出できるかもしれまんねん
これは中里介山の『大菩薩峠』の一節です。『蟹工船』（小林多喜二）が空前のブームらしいということですが、ひねくれ者としてはこっち『大菩薩峠』を強く推したいところです。それは数々のフリークス（遊行の徒）の物語であると同時に、理由なき殺人の物語でもあるわけで、今という時代性と個人的な志向がぴったりくるから、『大菩薩峠』こそ時代がよんでいるにちがいないと思うくらいです。とはいえそう決めつけるのは早計で、主人公の「机龍之介」はその後の時代小説や活動写真におけるヒーロー像（キャラクター）の原形になったし、爛熟期を過ぎたと思われるオタク文化でも今もなお不変、否、普遍さを保ち続けています。
主人公机龍之介は、無性に人を殺したくなる衝動をもった人間です。始めは武士としての力試しという意味もあったことでしょうが、強いとか弱いとか、悪い奴だからとか関係なく、それこそ誰彼構わず殺しまくります。幕末という時代が幸いして公然と殺しができた龍之介は、ある日戦闘で失明します。しかしそれでもなお、無明を彷徨うかのように、人殺しを加速させてゆきます。
そもそもの疑問は、「病気というのは、何が何でも治癒させなければならないものなの？」 或は、「病気は本当に治るものなの？」ということです。
医師も代替治療者もふつう治るなんて簡単にいえません。また医師だろうと医師以外だろうと治るとたやすくいうものほど胡散臭い存在はありません。
これは疑問のまま無明をさまよい続けるしかないのかもしれませんが、病気というものを別の次元で引き受けて解決する（心の内で解決する、或いは解決しない・解決させない）方法もあるのかなと思えてならないというのも確かにありそうです。
